Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026 · MenuHub Platform
MenuHub Platform ("we," "us," or "our") operates the MenuHub digital storefront and ordering platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account & Registration Data
When you create an account, we collect your restaurant name, administrative slug, subdomain, owner email address, display name, and securely hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
1.2 Menu & Restaurant Data
We collect and store content you enter or import: dishes, categories, prices, descriptions, photography, dietary tags, allergen notes, and operating hours. This data belongs entirely to your restaurant business.
1.3 AI Processing Data
When you use the AI menu import feature, uploaded menu documents, snapshots, or public menu URLs are processed by our menu parsing pipeline to extract structured catalog data for your review.
1.4 Order & Customer Data
For direct online ordering, we collect customer order details (items, totals, notes, fulfillment type) and phone numbers for OTP SMS verification. Customer data is stored in isolated restaurant partitions.
1.5 Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. See our Cookie Policy for details.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, operate, and maintain your digital restaurant storefront and ordering catalog
- To process menu imports, conversions, and price formatting
- To route online orders to your kitchen and send verification OTP codes
- To provide customer support and service updates
- To prevent fraud, security incidents, and abuse
3. AI Processing & Sub-Processors
We are committed to clear and honest disclosure regarding AI data handling.
When you initiate an AI menu import, document text and images are sent to secure AI inference sub-processors (such as OpenAI and Azure Document Intelligence) solely to extract menu structures, item names, and pricing. Your menu data is processed securely over TLS and is not used to train public foundational AI models.
4. Data Sharing & Non-Sale of Data
We do not sell or monetize restaurant or guest personal data. We share data only with verified infrastructure sub-processors (cloud hosting, transactional email, and SMS carriers) strictly to deliver the service.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You may request full export or permanent deletion of your restaurant data and customer lists at any time by emailing [email protected].
6. Security Measures
We use HTTPS for production traffic, authenticated owner sessions, tenant-scoped data access, and deployment-level database protections. Specific transport and storage controls may vary by hosting environment.
